Closing a chapter: Charles Hermesse joins PwC

Charles arrives at PwC after nearly three years at corporate finance advisory firm, Closing, advising business owners and management teams on buy-side and sell-side transactions, financial restructurings, as well as evaluation mandates across diverse sectors in the Belgian market.

He started as an M&A analyst for Closing in August 2023 after completing two master’s degrees (international finance and corporate finance) and was promoted to M&A consultant in July 2025.

“As my first professional experience, it gave me the opportunity to learn extensively, getting exposed to many deals across different industries while working alongside skilled and friendly colleagues,” he comments, grateful for everything he learned at the company.

In his new position at PwC, Charles will leverage this background to support corporate clients, private equity sponsors and institutional investors on complex valuation assignments, strategic financial modelling and transaction decision-making across the deal lifecycle.

His arrival comes as corporate dealmakers continue to seek rigorous financial modelling, scenario planning and independent valuation analysis to navigate shifting market conditions and support value-creation strategies in the Benelux region.
