At the heart of the M&A Community Belgium is our deal database, dealmakerdata.be, that records all mergers and acquisitions in the Belgian market.
As a member of our deal database team you analyse Belgium M&A deals and add the details of each deal, like deal type, deal value, close date, strategic rationale, companies involved and names of dealmakers, to our database.
To keep the deal database up to date with financial and business information you process all available data and reach out to deal teams to find the missing pieces. You work closely with the editorial team and the M&A community manager to create valuable content for our readers and partners.
What will you do?
- You make it your mission to be the first to know about new Belgium mergers and acquisitions
- You search the media for deal information, process completed deal forms, and contact dealmakers, such as banks, lawyers, M&A directors, and advisors, to complete the information needed.
- You help create M&A League tables and create profiles of all the dealmakers involved
- You help create overviews of merger and acquisition activity in the Belgian market.
Who are we looking for?
- You are a student in Finance, Economics, Business Economics, or Applied Economics
- You are available 8 hours per week on average
- You have excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- You have an interest in business and financial topics
- You are curious, disciplined and can work well independently
- You already have some knowledge of the M&A ecosystem
- You are proactive, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions
- You are customer-friendly and comfortable contacting people by phone or email
