After four previous acquisitions, transport company Xwift is now acquiring Vadesco Logistics from Lier.

The acquisition increases Xwift’s fleet with 87 vehicles and the number of employees with 100 to a total of 450 employees. The anual turnover is 62 million euros.

Vadesco Logistics was founded in 1974 and specializes in dedicated transport and 24-hour distribution in the Benelux, Northern France and Germany. Over the years, the company from Lier has incorporated two other transport companies (Jos Plas & Cie and VDC). In the 2022 financial year, these three companies generated an added value of five million euros. Vadesco Logistics also has three warehouses in Lier with a total area of 12,000 m2.

The family shareholders of Vadesco Logistics have decided to sell their company to the group led by Pieter Denys. “Vadesco Logistics shares the same human and professional values as Xwift,” says Denys. “All Vadesco employees are kept on board. The site in Lier will also be preserved. This allows us to offer our customers a broader range of services and brings us closer to our objective of achieving a position among the top 10 transport companies in Belgium.”
