Powerful solar panel deal announced: Takeover of Ensys by ExtraPower

The West Flemish installer of solar panels, charging stations and batteries ExtraPower is acquiring Ensys.

ExtraPower was founded in 2014 by Jannes Soutaer and Tineke Serru and specializes in the development and installation of tailor-made solar panel installations for companies and organizations.

ExtraPower, mainly active in the business market, sees synergy opportunities with Ensys, which focuses on families and smaller companies with the same products and heat pumps.

ExtraPower was acquired in January 2023 by EFO, the investment vehicle of the Essers family, the family behind the logistics company of the same name. The acquisition of Ensys is the first add-on deal since the takeover and is likely the start of a wave of consolidation in the solar panel market.
