Exmar sells subsidiary for 40 million euros

Exmar announces the sale of its 100 percent subsidiary Bexco to Bekaert.

Bexco is a pioneer in the production of high-quality mooring ropes for offshore installations, ships and other marine applications. Its products are known for their durability, strength and reliability, making them preferred by customers in the maritime and offshore industries.

The consideration for the transaction amounts to approximately 40 million euros, the company said in a press release.

The sale of Bexco is part of Exmar’s strategy to focus on investing in a state-of-the-art fleet, including the world’s first ammonia-fueled seagoing vessels, and to further develop its energy infrastructure and engineering services .

“The sale of Bexco creates value for Exmar, allowing us to invest in the rejuvenation of our fleet and remain a pioneer in the handling, transport and transformation of gaseous molecules. We are confident that Bexco will be able to continue its growth under the new shareholding of Bekaert”, says Carl-Antoine Saverys – CEO of Exmar.
