Dutch takeover for Scandinavia specialist Nordic

Nordic acquires Dutch Norway specialist Norske.

The Belgian provider of Scandinavia travel Nordic has acquired the Dutch Norway specialist Norske.

Nordic speaks of a ‘strategic move’, with which it strengthens its position as market leader in the sale of Hurtigruten in the Netherlands. Hurtigruten or the Coastal Express is an old Norwegian ferry and transport service dating from the end of the nineteenth century.

Norske’s twenty employees will keep their jobs and will be given a place within the new organization. The owners Dick and Annemarie van Kooi are saying goodbye to the company after a short transfer period.

Since 2019, Nordic has been 59 percent owned by the Down2Earth Capital investment fund. Since then, the fund has made many acquisitions. In the past six months alone, 6 acquisitions were completed.

With Norske, the Nordic group’s turnover increases to 145 million euros.
